Who we are

This website, almostoutloud.com, is the official site of the independent web series Almost Out Loud. You can contact us about anything related to this policy through the Contact page.

What personal data we collect

This website does not have user accounts or comments. The only personal data we ask you for is through our newsletter sign-up form (see the next section). Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically record technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, for security and to keep the site running properly.

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address and, if you choose to give it, your first name. We also record which version of the form you used (the site language), so we can write to you in your language.

Purpose: to send you news about the series — new episodes, soundtrack releases and behind-the-scenes content. Legal basis: your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box on the form (Article 6.1.a GDPR).

Service provider: our mailing list is managed with Hostinger Reach, the email marketing service of our hosting provider, Hostinger, which processes this data on our behalf. The sign-up form is protected against spam by Cloudflare, which may process technical data such as your IP address. See the privacy policies of Hostinger and Cloudflare.

How long we keep it: until you unsubscribe. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to delete your data at any time through the Contact page. We never sell or share your data with third parties for their own marketing.

Embedded content from other websites

Pages on this site include embedded content from YouTube (episodes and scenes) and Spotify (the original soundtrack). Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited those websites: they may collect data about you, use cookies and track your interaction with the embedded content. YouTube videos are embedded in privacy-enhanced mode. Please see the privacy policies of Google/YouTube and Spotify for more information.

Cookies

This website itself only uses the technical cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work. Third-party services embedded on the site (YouTube, Spotify) may set their own cookies when you play their content.

Links to social networks

This site links to our profiles on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Spotify. When you follow those links, the privacy policy of each platform applies.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to access, rectify and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability.
